Chateau de Lis Wedding | Luxury Wedding Venue in Oregon

The Chateau de Lis is an Oregon wedding venue straight out of a fairytale. The luxury chateau has European charm that will make you feel like you brought your guests all the way to Tuscany, when in reality it’s only about 20 miles from Portland. The owners themselves say it best, “Imagine the beauty of a fairy-tale castle set among lush landscaping and the privacy of 133 acres in the rural landscape of Oregon City.” It’s the perfect romantic setting to get married and feel like royalty.

From a photographer’s perspective, I love everything about this luxury wedding venue. While its beauty speaks for itself, it’s also the perfect canvas for your vendors to add your personal touches to. For florals especially, Poppies & Paisley did a wonderful job of complimenting the color scheme and bringing some more life to each area. Arianna with AK Events Co also brought the inspiration of Tuscany to life by sourcing amazing pieces and recommending the perfect vendors. As far as European-inspired wedding venues go in the PNW, Chateau should be on your list to tour.

Chateau de Lis Review

Chateau de Lis is a new venue that is quickly booking out with couples that envision a romantic and luxury wedding experience. Inside, there are several themed rooms and suites for the bride and groom to get ready for their wedding. The bridal suite room is one of my favorites especially, as it features a balcony that looks over the back lawn. Downstairs, the main living area includes a grand, yet cozy, fireplace and a grand staircase (a photographers dream)!

Outside, the attention to detail is nothing short of amazing. There are so many different spots to take photos, the variety will be endless. Starting with my favorite spot, the stone archways, I love how they give off the feeling of being at a castle. There are also so many opportunities to decorate these arches with florals, as was done here for Paige and Jason. I also love the bridge that takes you over the stream. Photos here show off the Chateau de Lis in the background. I think there is a style for anyone here.

One other thing I love that they include in their packages is the option to take your engagement photos on-site. This is a great way for your photographer to see the space ahead of time, as well as have a cohesive set of photos to commemorate your marriage all the way from engagement to newlyweds. As of writing this post (October 2024), pricing for peak Saturdays starts at $15,000, which is comparable to other popular, luxury wedding venues in Oregon.
