Spring Photos at Chateau de Lis | Oregon Wedding Photographer

Weddings

As an Oregon wedding photographer, it’s always a pleasure to shoot at Chateau de Lis. This European-style, luxury wedding venue has so many areas around the property to take portraits throughout your wedding day and make the space your own with ceremony and reception decor. I’ll begin with the carefully thought-out details, colorful blooms designed by Caroline Reusen Florals and other goodies created by vendors listed below in this article.

For this spring wedding shoot at Chateau de Lis, we started out the day with Bradley and Natalie pouring a champagne tower. The rain had just began drizzling, but the vibes were high and this was the perfect start.

As the rain continued, we started with some indoor photos with direct flash, which creates an editorial look. The inside of Chateau de Lis, like the rest of the venue, is so thoughtfully designed. The grand staircase is one of my favorite areas to shoot.

Then we headed outside to the artfully decorated ceremony space, veiled in spring flowers.

Finally, we ended with some shots of the bride and groom at their reception space. This is something I would love to incorporate into more future weddings. You spend so much time curating the reception decor, thoughtfully putting together tables with flowers, candles, and personalized pieces. This is a great place to include more portraits of the two of you as a couple, not just photos of “stuff”.

Chateau de Lis Bridal Portraits & Engagement Session

Besides the wedding portion of this shoot, I also captured some solo bridal portraits and an engagement session on the grounds at Chateau de Lis. For our solo bride, we went with an editorial look, with more serious expressions and a high-fashion gown to match.

For the engagement photos, the couple wore matching light, neutral outfits and carried a wicker basket flower arrangement of pink and orange blooms. The property has a stream running through the front and we strolled across the stone pathway with this couple.
