In October, I had a last minute call to shoot a wedding with a friend at Gallon House Farms in Silverton, Oregon, a beautiful venue located in the Willamette Valley. As an Oregon wedding photographer, I love getting to see new venues all the time! One of the best things about having a fall wedding at Gallon House Farms is the stunning scenery. The surrounding water and trees are absolutely breathtaking in the fall, and if you have the luck of a warm, sunny day, the light glows at golden hour. This creates a beautiful backdrop for your wedding photos, which will be absolutely stunning with the natural fall colors.

Venue Features at Gallon House Farms

To start off the day, the venue has a bride’s suite and a groom’s suite that are decorated in neutral but tasteful decor. There are some great props and photo opportunities (especially in the bride’s suite, I must say!) Any venue with designated getting ready areas can logistically work better, without having to transport between a hotel or getting ready location, ceremony, and even a separate reception. Gallon House Farms offers ceremony and reception all in one!

While any time would be gorgeous at this venue, fall can be a great option because of the cooler weather. This means that you won’t have to worry about guests being too hot or too cold, like you might in the heat of summer. The comfortable weather also means that you can incorporate seasonal elements into your wedding, such as warm apple cider and pumpkin-flavored desserts. Even if the typical PNW rain is in store for your wedding day, Gallon House Farms offers a great covered space that can be used for ceremony and reception alike.
