Cathedral Park is one of my favorite places in Portland for engagement photos (or any type of session for that matter). Having the feature of the St. Johns Bridge in addition to the natural scenery gives you plenty of options and intrigue for your backdrop. I recommend this location in the summer and fall particularly when the trees are either full or very colorful.

There is parking all around Cathedral Park, including a small gravel lot right under the St. Johns Bridge and tons of surrounding neighborhood parking. It can be very busy here, and sometimes there are wedding ceremonies happening, but it is a large park so we can find our own little corner. I love that there is also waterfront access with a dock we can head to for some more photos.
