Makenna and Michael held their wedding at The Barn at Countryside on a crisp November Saturday surrounded by friends and family. They had a large guest count, requiring a wedding venue that could accommodate over 300 people. A Cozy, Romantic November Wedding Day

Getting Ready

Makenna and her bridal party got ready in the bridal suite, just up the stairs at the back end of The Barn at Countryside venue. The space was bright, spacious, and full of natural light – perfect for detail photos and fun morning moments with the bridesmaids. It comfortably held the entire bridal party, while the hair and makeup artists perfected the glam for each person. Hair and makeup for this fall Oregon wedding were done by Julie Ruth Aesthetics and Herkind Artistry. These two did an amazing job on all of the beautiful ladies, and there were TEN bridesmaids!

Michael got ready on-site at the venue as well, utilizing The Barn’s groom’s suite on the main level with his groomsmen. Having getting-ready locations included in the venue made for a smooth and stress-free morning. It also allowed me as the photographer to float between the two groups and capture all the anticipation leading up to the first look.

First Look on the Patio

The couple chose to do a first look just outside the barn, in the area typically used for outdoor ceremonies overlooking fall foliage. Makenna and Michael wanted this moment to be just theirs – away from the noise of the day – so they could ground themselves and take it all in. They exchanged gifts with each other before we did bride and groom, wedding party, and family photos.

Indoor Ceremony in The Barn at Countryside

The ceremony took place indoors beneath The Barn at Countryside’s tall, vaulted ceilings. Warm-toned florals and soft light transformed the space into a romantic fall dream. One of the biggest perks of a Barn at Countryside wedding is the option for an indoor ceremony that still feels grand and elegant – especially helpful in the unpredictable November weather. We were fortunate to have dry weather earlier in the day for portraits, but slowly needed to shift inside as it began to sprinkle.

A Thoughtfully Themed Fall Wedding

Makenna and Michael leaned into the fall season with a warm, moody palette of mocha brown and touches of orange and cream. Their florist, Alivia with Raybell Farms, created the perfect fall ensemble of luscious flowers and greenery. Every detail – from the invitation suite to the mobile tap truck (Full of Soul) – was curated with their theme in mind. It made the whole day feel cohesive and inviting.
