The Farm on Golden Hill Wedding | Oregon Wedding Photographer

Weddings

Sally Mary and Ethan booked The Farm on Golden Hill for their summer wedding in Silverton, Oregon. This fantastic wedding venue is near Salem, but also under an hour from the Portland area. The Farm on Golden Hill has been around for a while, but has undergone major construction in 2023 and 2024 to make it even better. Now, on top of the quaint, rustic barn, they have added a modern building space right next door to accommodate even more guests. For outdoor weddings, The Farm on Golden Hill can hold up to 500 guests.

This venue checks off a ton of boxes for me and is very versatile depending on the vibe and size of your wedding. You can choose to have the rustic look, especially by utilizing the old barn for photos. You will also find crisp white falls and a well-lit interior for a clean and modern look. If you’re looking for a vineyard wedding venue in Oregon, the Farm on Golden Hill certainly meets that criteria as well with vines to the north and south (beautiful for your wedding day portraits). I have been wine tasting here as well, and have to shoutout Crush as my favorite!

Along with the new construction came an amazing bridal suite to get ready in the morning. It’s decorated with light, feminine details and also has space for a big entourage. As an Oregon wedding photographer, I’ve seen my fair share of small, dark bridal suites, so this a wonderful place to spend your wedding morning.

Because their property is so large, there is a wide variety of backdrops for your ceremony or wedding day portraits. For Sally Mary, it was important to have their first look and private vows in an area that was secluded from the rest of the venue. First, we set Ethan up at the bottom of the hill, in the pond area with the horses.

After a heartfelt and tearful exchange of vows, we spent time in the same area for their portraits. Both the bride and groom dressed with western touches. Ethan wore his cowboy hat and boots, and Sally Mary’s bell-sleeved dress was accented with a turquoise bracelet.

For the ceremony at The Farm on Golden Hill, there is an option to be outside or indoors depending on weather and preference. For this warm June day, the couple choose an outdoor ceremony to accommodate their guest count and faced north up the hill. The wedding party entered in colorful, mismatched bridesmaids dresses and the groomsmen wore cowboy hats.

All in all, I highly recommend The Farm on Golden Hill for your wedding. They say it best on their website — “An unforgettable experience, in a picturesque location, surrounded by awesome people”. It’s spacious, rustic, modern, elegant, and has room to sprawl. The venue owners and coordinators are AMAZING. Nadara with Hand in Hand Coordination was a pleasure to work with and everything went so smoothly thanks to her and her team. The florals for this wedding were done by Raybell Farms and they brought the vision for a colorful wedding to life!
