Best Outdoor Wedding Venues in Oregon 2027

Featured, Weddings

This post will walk you through some of the best outdoor wedding venues in Oregon (and SW Washington). These are the top 10 venues I have photographed at, plus 3 that I will be shooting at in the future that I’m excited about. I always look for options that include a bridal suite, or at least somewhere on-site to get ready, and almost all of these venues also have an indoor option if needed. In no particular order, here are some of the best Oregon wedding venues. I would love to capture more love stories at all of these venues. If you’re on the photographer hunt, let’s get to know each other! Inquire here for wedding photography.

Best Wedding Venues in Oregon

1. Scholls Valley Lodge | Hillsboro, OR

Scholls Valley Lodge is a great option for a full wedding weekend. You can stay overnight (before and after the wedding) with your wedding party and/or close family, which ensures you get to spend extra quality time with the most important people in your life. It has always been so peaceful to enjoy the back deck overlooking the view. There are multiple decks off the lodge, along with separate patios and lawn areas that you can have a private moment with your loved ones or set up various sections of your day. You have options for your ceremony location depending on the backdrop you want, which is amazing. I also love that for your reception, the space is covered but open to allow for flow and fresh air between events. Read more and see photos from Scholls Valley Lodge here.

2. Black Butte Ranch | Sisters, OR

Black Butte Ranch renovated their lodge in 2023, now offering a modern space alongside the lake with classic Central Oregon mountain views. You can choose to have your ceremony beneath the aspen trees or in the open with the lake and mountain behind you. If you like the western vibes of the ranch, you can also take photos nearby with some of the horses. This is one of the best Central Oregon wedding venues and has also won awards for best destination wedding venue by Oregon Wedding Day. See more from this Black Butte Ranch wedding here.

3. The Farm on Golden Hill | Silverton, OR

The Farm on Golden Hill also went through recent construction in 2023 and 2024 to establish their new white gathering hall, right beside the original barn at the venue. The lighting inside is absolutely incredible and can fit an indoor ceremony depending on the season and weather. The Farm on Golden Hill has a lot of my favorite elements as well, including a vineyard where I love to take couples portraits. See more photos from this wedding here.

4. Abbey Road Farm | Carlton, OR

Abbey Road Farm is the perfect blend of modern, rustic, and vineyard. Their ceremony lawn overlooks the surrounding hills and they have some of my favorite wine. The venue combines rustic charm with modern elegance, so it’s not your typical barn wedding venue. This Oregon wedding venue also offers bridal and groom suites, as well as the option to stay on-site in their bed & breakfast. This would be another great venue to make a weekend trip out of for you and your guests!

5. The Columbia Gorge Hotel | Hood River, OR

The Columbia Gorge Hotel is a classic and historic venue with incredible views over the Columbia River Gorge. A unique feature that I love are all of the stone features, from the ceremony area, the retaining wall on the edge of the hill, and some bridges throughout the property. This is one of the best Columbia Gorge wedding venues! Read more and see more photos of this venue here.

6. Cape Horn Estate | Stevenson, WA

Cape Horn Estate is known for its stone arch at the ceremony site, which a backdrop of dramatic cliffs in the Columbia River Gorge. The landscape is also full of hydrangeas, creating a romantic environment and beautiful backdrops for photos. There is so much natural beauty here that speaks for itself. 7. Chateau de Lis | Oregon City, OR

Chateau de Lis is perfect for luxury weddings with a European vibe. While its beauty speaks for itself, it’s also the perfect canvas for your vendors to add your personal touches to through flowers and table decor. There are so many different spots to take photos, the variety will be endless. Starting with my favorite spot, the stone archways, I love how they give off the feeling of being at a castle. See more photos from Chateau de Lis here.

8. Sage & Social | Mulino, OR

Sage & Social is a dark modern farmhouse look makes every bridal look pop with white dresses in front of it. They have outdoor and indoor options and are transparent by listing prices on their website. There are so many areas on the property for your photos, from the ceremony pavilion to forested backdrops.

9. Crag Rat Hut | Hood River, OR

Crag Rat Hut sits on a hilltop in Hood River with iconic views of Mount Hood. This is one of the more affordable wedding venues with views of the mountain and out in this area. Hood River is a great destination for Oregon locals and visitors alike, with so many wineries, orchards, and hikes in the area. The surrounding town is a great place to stay for the entire weekend. This wedding venue is best suited for smaller celebrations so that you can still fit everything on the outdoor patio.

10. Amaterra | Portland, OR

Looking for a modern winery without having to travel an hour or more outside of Portland? Amaterra is located in the Northwest Hills of Portland with bright, updated architecture and views looking out west over Beaverton and Hillsboro. Not to mention, the food is fantastic here. The venue has both indoor and outdoor spaces and room to sprawl. There are also large, bright spaces available for both partners to get ready in the morning.

More venues I’m excited to shoot at this year

This list will be ever evolving as I visit more venues I love! The following are a mix of new and well-established venues that I’ll be shooting at this year. I anticipate that most of these will move into my list of best Oregon wedding venues:

Bridal Veil Lakes | Corbett, OR

Bridal Veil Lakes is notoriously a favorite venue for many wedding vendors, so I’m excited to see what all the hype is about! It’s a wonderful venue for fully outdoor weddings and boasts a lush green landscape.

Locks Venue | Cascade Locks, OR

The Locks Venue is located on Thunder Island on the Columbia River. This is one of my favorite small towns in the gorge with great food and beer options!

Ghost Hill Cellars | Carlton, OR

Ghost Hill Cellars is actually where I am getting married in 2026! Although I have not photographed a wedding there yet, the moment my fiancé and I stepped inside we knew it was the one for us. Their capacity is on the smaller side, around 100 guests. It’s great for the size we are going for and their view of the Carlton area is amazing. Another feature I fell in love with are the walnut tables inside. The wood is beautiful and I’m so excited to decorate them for our reception without linens on them. The owners were wonderful to talk to and I’m excited to keep visiting leading up to our wedding day.
