Castle Rock Lavender Farm Wedding

Weddings

If you’ve been dreaming of a Castle Rock Lavender Farm wedding, this one is going to make you want to book your date immediately.

Hailey and Tyler tied the knot on July 18, 2025 at one of the most stunning outdoor wedding venues in Washington State. Nestled in the hills of Castle Rock, WA, Castle Rock Lavender Farm is a small, family-run property with over 2,000 lavender plants and more than 11 varieties blooming across the land. It’s not open to the public, which makes it feel that much more special when you get to celebrate there.

The moment you arrive, the beautiful scent of lavender hits you, rows of purple stretch out in every direction, and you just know the photos are going to be something else. Hailey and Tyler found me through a friend whose wedding I photographed several years ago, and I’m so glad they reached out because this day was magical.

A Little About Hailey and Tyler

These two are so fun to be around.

Hailey’s the wild and outgoing one, the kind of person who lights up a room and also somehow the dance floor at the same time. Tyler’s more reserved, but the way he looks at her says everything. Together they’re playful and unserious in the best possible way, and their wedding day reflected exactly who they are as a couple.

They weren’t trying to put on a stiff, formal event. They wanted a gorgeous natural setting, a private moment for vows between just the two of them, and then an absolute party with the people they love most. Mission accomplished on all fronts.

Getting Ready onsite at Castle Rock Lavender Farm

One of the perks of Castle Rock Lavender Farm as a wedding venue is that there’s an on-site bridal suite and groom’s suite, so the whole wedding party got ready right there on the property.

The wedding aesthetic was all black and white with touches of greenery and lavender, and it looked so clean and elegant against the natural backdrop of the farm. There’s something about getting ready on-site that sets such a relaxed, connected tone for the day, and that energy carried through from morning all the way to the very last sparkle of the night.

The First Look That Made Me Tear Up a Little

Before Tyler got to see his bride, Hailey shared her first look with her dad under the willow tree, and I have to say this was one of my favorite moments of the entire day.

Her dad is a total character, the kind of person who always has a joke ready and a big personality to match. But in that moment under the willow tree, he was a complete softie. It was his first daughter getting married, and you could feel the weight and the joy of that all at once. He held it together, barely, and it was beautiful.

I’ll never get tired of photographing moments like that one.

After their moment together, Tyler got his turn, and seeing him see Hailey for the first time was just as sweet and just as worth every happy tear.

Ceremony on the Lawn with a Lavender Field Backdrop

The ceremony was held on the lawn with the lavender field stretching out behind them as a backdrop, and honestly it looked like something out of a dream.

One thing that was really important to Hailey and Tyler was having their private vows away from the crowd so they could have their serious, intimate moment without an audience. That choice made the ceremony feel even more meaningful, because by the time they stood up in front of everyone, they’d already had their real, quiet, just-the-two-of-them moment.

The combination of the black and white wedding party against all that lavender and greenery was absolutely stunning, and I couldn’t stop smiling behind my camera.

Cocktail Hour and All the Good Vibes

After the ceremony, guests mingled during cocktail hour and there was even a 50/50 raffle thrown in, which is such a fun and laid-back touch that felt totally on-brand for this couple.

The energy at this wedding was warm and celebratory right from the start, and you could tell that everyone there genuinely loved Hailey and Tyler. It’s always such a joy to photograph a wedding where the guests are fully present and having the time of their lives.

Toasts, Cake, and First Dances

The reception kicked off with a welcome speech from Hailey’s dad that had the room in the palm of his hand. He also came back later in the evening for a champagne toast to celebrate the newlyweds.

Watching how close this family is throughout the night was one of the highlights of the whole day for me.

The cake cutting and first dances followed, and by the time the couple hit the lawn for their first dance, the night had already taken on that warm, golden, completely magical quality that you can’t plan for but always hope for.

Golden Hour at Castle Rock Lavender Farm

Okay, I have to talk about golden hour, because this is the part where I was absolutely in my element.

Slipping away with Hailey and Tyler during the last light of the day to photograph them in the lavender field was just everything. The light, the color, the scent of lavender hanging in the warm evening air. These are the portraits I’ll be thinking about for a long time.

If you’re considering Castle Rock Lavender Farm for your wedding, golden hour portraits in that field alone are reason enough to book it!

The Party They’ll Never Forget

After portraits it was back to the dance floor, and this crowd did not hold back. People of all ages were out there dancing all night long, which is always such a sign of a truly great wedding.

The night wrapped up with a sparkler exit that sent Hailey and Tyler off in the most celebratory way possible, straight into a pink limo headed to their after party.

Perfectly them, from start to finish, and I’m so honored I got to be there for all of it.
