This post will walk you through some of the best outdoor wedding venues in Oregon. These are the top 10 venues I have photographed at, plus 4 that I will be shooting at in the future that I’m excited about. I always look for options that include a bridal suite, or at least somewhere on-site to get ready, and almost all of these venues also have an indoor option if needed. In no particular order, here are some of the best Oregon wedding venues. I would love to capture more love stories at all of these venues. If you’re on the photographer hunt, let’s get to know each other! Inquire here for wedding photography.
Best Wedding Venues in Oregon
1. Scholls Valley Lodge | Hillsboro, OR
Scholls Valley Lodge is a great option for a full wedding weekend. You can stay overnight (before and after the wedding) with your wedding party and/or close family, which ensures you get to spend extra quality time with the most important people in your life. It has always been so peaceful to enjoy the back deck overlooking the view. There are multiple decks off the lodge, along with separate patios and lawn areas that you can have a private moment with your loved ones or set up various sections of your day. You have options for your ceremony location depending on the backdrop you want, which is amazing. I also love that for your reception, the space is covered but open to allow for flow and fresh air between events. Read more and see photos from Scholls Valley Lodge here.
2. Black Butte Ranch | Sisters, OR
Black Butte Ranch renovated their lodge in 2023, now offering a modern space alongside the lake with classic Central Oregon mountain views. You can choose to have your ceremony beneath the aspen trees or in the open with the lake and mountain behind you. If you like the western vibes of the ranch, you can also take photos nearby with some of the horses. See more from this Black Butte Ranch wedding here.
3. The Farm on Golden Hill | Silverton, OR
The Farm on Golden Hill also went through recent construction in 2023 and 2024 to establish their new white gathering hall, right beside the original barn at the venue. The lighting inside is absolutely incredible and can fit an indoor ceremony depending on the season and weather. The Farm on Golden Hill has a lot of my favorite elements as well, including a vineyard where I love to take couples portraits. See more photos from this wedding here.
4. Abbey Road Farm | Carlton, OR
Abbey Road Farm is the perfect blend of modern, rustic, and vineyard. Their ceremony lawn overlooks the surrounding hills and they have some of my favorite wine. The venue combines rustic charm with modern elegance, so it’s not your typical barn wedding venue. This Oregon wedding venue also offers bridal and groom suites, as well as the option to stay on-site in their bed & breakfast. This would be another great venue to make a weekend trip out of for you and your guests!
5. The Columbia Gorge Hotel | Hood River, OR
The Columbia Gorge Hotel is a classic and historic venue with incredible views over the Columbia River Gorge. A unique feature that I love are all of the stone features, from the ceremony area, the retaining wall on the edge of the hill, and some bridges throughout the property. 6. Chateau de Lis | Oregon City, OR
Chateau de Lis is perfect for luxury weddings with a European vibe. While its beauty speaks for itself, it’s also the perfect canvas for your vendors to add your personal touches to through flowers and table decor. There are so many different spots to take photos, the variety will be endless. Starting with my favorite spot, the stone archways, I love how they give off the feeling of being at a castle. See more photos from Chateau de Lis here.
7. Gallon House Farms | Silverton, OR
Gallon House Farms has a small lake on property that offers dreamy lakeside views. We loved taking this couple out onto the island in the middle of the water for sunset portraits. Their barn can also hold your guests inside for a reception or ceremony for rainy days. See more of this gorgeous fall wedding at Gallon House Farms here.
8. Aspen Lakes Golf Course | Sisters, OR
I’m a huge fan of Aspen Lakes Golf Course because of the different types of backdrops you can get here. their ceremony area is on the lawn out front with the view of mountains in the background. I love Central Oregon for its dessert landscape and ponderosa pines; the first photo below if the perfect essence of that! They also offer separate spaces to get ready for the bride and groom, and an indoor space on two levels for your reception. As I always say with Central Oregon, I think it’s a great place to take your guests as a ‘destination’ for those living in the valley or coming from out of state. More venues I’m excited to shoot at this year
This list will be ever evolving as I visit more venues I love! The following are a mix of new and well-established venues that I’ll be shooting at this year.
Sage & Social | Mulino, OR
Sage & Social has been on my list of dream venues since it opened in 2022. The dark modern farmhouse look makes every bridal look pop with white dresses in front of it. They have outdoor and indoor options and are transparent, listing prices on their website.
Cape Horn Estate | Stevenson, WA
Cape Horn Estate was one of the first venues I fell in love with when I saw photos of their stone ceremony arch with the Columbia Gorge as its backdrop. From what I’ve seen, little is needed in the floral department because their estate is so thoughtfully landscaped. I’m excited to photograph two weddings here in 2025!
The Inn at Diamond Woods | Monroe, OR
The Inn at Diamond Woods is a special venue because you and your guests can stay overnight in the inn, making an entire weekend out of your event. The views over the golf course and of the building are both stunning for your wedding day portraits.
Ghost Hill Cellars | Carlton, OR
Ghost Hill Cellars is actually where I am getting married in 2026! Although I have not photographed a wedding there yet, the moment my fiancé and I stepped inside we knew it was the one for us. Their capacity is on the smaller side, around 100 guests. It’s great for the size we are going for and their view of the Carlton area is amazing. Another feature I fell in love with are the walnut tables inside. The wood is beautiful and I’m so excited to decorate them for our reception without linens on them. The owners were wonderful to talk to and I’m excited to keep visiting leading up to our wedding day.
