Farm & Orchard Wedding | Corvallis, Oregon

Weddings

Megan and Zander’s August wedding at The Farm & Orchard in Corvallis was one to remember. This was one of those events where I found myself on the dance floor at moments and feeling the love all day long. This wedding venue is one of my favorites in the Willamette Valley, great if you’re local to the Corvallis/Albany area or traveling from Eugene, Salem, or even Portland. For me, it meant traveling back to my college town and even seeing some college friends in attendance. Another thing that stood out to me was the attention to detail in the florals and decor. I have never had a bride come as prepared for flat-lay and detail photos as Megan was! One thing you can include in your detail box to add elegance is extra floral stems— just ask your florist if they can include a few extra stems! It gave so much freedom to play with different looks.

The Morning Of

The two spent their mornings separately in the bride and groom’s suites with their closest people, as many couples do. The Farm & Orchard offers separated spaces to get ready and keep the reveal a surprise. Megan’s bridesmaids each wore a unique blue dress in different shades and patterns (one of my favorite wedding trends!) and the groomsmen matched in navy. This Corvallis wedding venue features a rustic styled bridal suite with wood walls and matching farmhouse decor. The groom’s suite decor is slightly more minimalist with sleek white walls and matching rustic decor.

Now it’s time for the first look. We brought Zander to the ceremony area and I adore the shots of her walking up to do the reveal with their families watching from afar. Although so much time and effort went into the floral arrangements, they look effortless among the towering trees.

The florals for the ceremony were some of the most beautiful I’ve ever seen at a wedding. I love the option of florals on the ground in place of an arch, and the trees created their own frame naturally.

And finally the portraits— every photographer’s favorite section in the timeline. Megan wore two different dresses, one elegant, traditional ballgown for the main look of the ceremony, and a modern, simple midi to party for the reception. The day started out pretty overcast, but in the middle of the reception the sun poked through for the dreamiest golden hour photos.
